Fitch upgrades Athora Holding, subsidiaries

Fitch Ratings upgraded to A from A- the insurer financial strength ratings of Athora Life Re Ltd., Athora Ireland PLC and SRLEV NV.

The rating agency also upgraded to A- from BBB+ the issuer default ratings of Athora Holding Ltd. and Athora Netherlands NV.

The outlooks are stable.

The upgrades reflect the improvement in Athora's financial performance and business profile, which Fitch regards as favorable compared with other Dutch and Western European life insurers.

Athora's ratings reflect its very strong business profile, very strong capitalization and leverage, strong financial performance and high investment risk. The rating agency also regards the group's geographical diversification as favorable compared with its previous "moderate" assessment.
