John Buchanan, legal chief of Dallas-based Comerica Inc., is leaving the company on or about June 6.
Buchanan ceased serving as chief legal officer and corporate secretary May 6, but will remain an executive vice president until his departure date for transition purposes.
The company named Von Hays, a senior vice president, interim chief legal officer.
