PNC Bank launches minority business development group

PNC Bank NA launched a minority business development group, which intends to help position minority-owned businesses for growth and sustainability, according to a news release.

Marshalynn Odneal, the bank's national sales executive for minority business, will lead the group.

The efforts of the new group will help support a portion of PNC's $88 billion Community Benefits Plan, through which the bank will provide $26.5 billion in small business loans, investments and other financial support to improve economic opportunity for low- and moderate-income individuals and neighborhoods through 2025, according to the release.

Additionally, the bank is launching a Certified Minority Business Advocate program, a training program aiming to teach PNC employees the challenges faced by diverse businesses.
