Bricks and mortar: New York's Apple Bank for Savings to open NJ branch

Mid-Atlantic

New York-based Apple Bank for Savings seeks to open an out-of-state branch at 99 Wood Ave. S., 8th Floor, Iselin, Middlesex County, N.J., according to the New York State Department of Financial Services.

The State of New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance accepted the bank's de novo branch application April 13, according to the New Jersey regulator's website.

Clearfield, Pa.-based CNB Bank on April 7 filed with the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities for a de novo branch at 3531 Franklin Road, Roanoke, Roanoke City County, Va.

Phoenixville, Pa.-based Customers Bank relocated its branch at 1001 Penn Ave., Wyomissing, Berks County, Pa., to 701 Reading Ave., West Reading, Berks County, Pa., effective April 4, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities.

Philadelphia-based Republic First Bank on April 2 opened a de novo branch at 212 East Lancaster Ave., Wayne, Delaware County, Pa., according to the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities.

York, Pa.-based Peoples Bank A Codorus Valley Co. has closed its branch at 118 Carlisle St., Hanover, York County, Pa., according to the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities.

Northeast

Pittsfield, Mass.-based Berkshire Bank surrendered for cancellation the authorization granted to it by the New York State Department of Financial Services to open its branch office at 6788 Northern Blvd., East Syracuse, Onondaga County, N.Y. The office was discontinued as of March 25, according to the state regulator.

Midwest

Burton, Mich.-based ELGA CU will hold a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony on its new headquarters at 6065 Grand Pointe Blvd., Grand Blanc, Mich., on April 22, according to a press release posted on CUInsight.
