Verisk Analytics Inc. has acquired property intelligence and loss control services provider Opta Information Intelligence Inc.
Canada-based Opta provides data-driven insights and risk assessment solutions to insurance and financial services customers.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed in a news release.
SCM Insurance Services Inc., a Warburg Pincus LLC and TorQuest Partners Inc. portfolio company, owns Opta.
Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC acted as a financial adviser to SCM Co-Invest LP, while Stikeman Elliott LLP was its legal adviser. Osler Hoskin & Harcourt LLP was legal adviser to Verisk in connection with the transaction.
Verisk provides predictive analytics and decision-support solutions to customers in the insurance, energy and specialized markets, and financial services industries. The company recently acquired Infutor Data Solutions LLC, which provides real-time identity resolution and consumer intelligence to marketers and the platforms and data companies that build products to serve marketers.
