Cornell Capital Partners II raises $1.7B in capital commitments

Cornell Capital LLC raised $1.7 billion for its second fund, surpassing its $1.5 billion initial target.

The Cornell Capital Partners II LP fund will invest in businesses across the consumer, financial, industrial and business services sectors.

The fund has invested in healthcare staffing platform Ingenovis Health Inc., maker of vitamins and supplements Innovations in Nutrition + Wellness, and personal insurance provider Vault.

Additionally, the private equity firm named Allen Chu, a former managing director and portfolio manager at Dymon Asia Capital, as partner and head of Asia.

Charles Buaron also joined the firm as managing director, as well as ex-Silver Point Capital executive Emily Mason as managing director and head of investor relations.
