Wells Fargo hires middle-market banking exec; WSFS Bank promotes 3 officers

Jessica Lupovici will join Wells Fargo & Co. as head of middle-market banking's East region.

Most recently a global treasury services sales executive for JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s commercial bank, Lupovici will join Wells Fargo in April and manage operations across six divisions and 19 states.

WSFS Bank, the primary subsidiary of Wilmington, Del.-based WSFS Financial Corp., promoted three associates in its commercial, small business and retail lending divisions.

Jim Wechsler was named senior vice president and COO of commercial banking. Wechsler most recently was senior vice president and chief retail lending officer.

Candice Caruso will replace Wechsler as senior vice president and chief retail lending officer. Caruso was senior vice president and director of government guaranteed lending.

Anthony Ryan will be senior vice president and director of retail lending strategy and operations. Ryan previously was senior vice president and director of small business banking.

Glens Falls, N.Y.-based Arrow Financial Corp. promoted David DeMarco, David Kaiser, Edward Campanella and Andrew Wise to senior executive vice presidents of the company and its subsidiary banks, effective Feb. 1.

DeMarco is president and CEO of Saratoga National Bank and Trust Co. and chief banking officer of Arrow and Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Co. Campanella is treasurer and CFO, Kaiser chief credit officer and Wise COO for Arrow and the two banks.

Westerly, R.I.-based Washington Trust Bancorp Inc. and its unit Washington Trust Co. of Westerly added Joseph Gencarella and Alimamy Jabbie Jr. to their boards, effective March 1.

Gencarella is a retired audit partner of KPMG LLP, while Jabbie is owner, president and CEO of Banneker Supply Chain Solutions Inc.

Coldwater, Mich.-based Southern Michigan Bancorp Inc. appointed Melissa Bauer to its board of directors.

Bauer and her husband are the founders and owners of B&M Crop Consulting, an independent agricultural consulting company based in Coldwater.

Santa Rosa, Calif.-based Exchange Bank named Howard Daulton and Keith Woods members of its newly formed advisory board.

Daulton previously was senior vice president of corporate and business development for the bank. Woods most recently was CEO of North Coast Builders Exchange.
