M&T Bank reducing overdraft fees, eliminating nonsufficient funds fee

M&T Bank Corp. revealed new efforts in limiting overdraft-related fees, such as reducing overdraft fees to $15 and limiting daily fee assessment to once per day.

The Buffalo, N.Y.-based company will also eliminate the nonsufficient funds fee and overdraft protection transfer charge from a linked deposit account.

The changes are set to take effect during the second quarter, according to a news release.
