Lightspeed, Silver Lake invest in Alchemy; Onex backs Analytic Partners
* San Francisco-based blockchain intelligence and infrastructure platform Alchemy Insights Inc. obtained $200 million in new equity investment led by Lightspeed Ventures LLC and Silver Lake Management LLC. Coatue Management LLC and Addition Ventures LLC, among other previous Alchemy investors, also participated.
* Onex Corp.'s Onex Partners V LP fund agreed to make a significant investment in cloud-based managed software platform Analytic Partners Inc. in partnership with the company's founder.

M&A in the region's financial sector may sustain their momentum in the new year after such deals rose more than 21% year over year in 2021, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence data.
DEALS
* Funds managed by Blackstone Inc.'s growth platform agreed to lead a $300 million investment in Indian third-party logistics company Busybees Logistics Solutions Pvt. Ltd., or Xpressbees. TPG Capital LP and ChrysCapital as well as existing investors Norwest Venture Partners and Investcorp will join Blackstone in the investment.
* Funds managed by The Carlyle Group Inc. and Hellman & Friedman LLC committed up to an additional $200 million in reinsurance services provider Vantage Group Holdings Ltd.
* German digital commerce software solutions provider Shopware AG obtained $100 million in growth capital from Carlyle and PayPal Holdings Inc.
* Cerberus Capital Management LP is selling about 15 million shares, or 37% of its remaining stake, in German lender Deutsche Bank AG, Bloomberg News reported.
* Inflexion Pvt. Equity Partners LLP agreed to acquire electronic bike components manufacturer enviolo.
FUNDRAISING
* OceanSound Partners LP obtained $780 million at the final close of its inaugural fund OceanSound Partners Fund LP. The fund closed above its target of $550 million.
* Morpheus Ventures held the final closing of its oversubscribed Morpheus Ventures II LP fund. The vehicle, which exceeded its target of $200 million in commitments, will continue to invest in disruptive technology companies across industries ranging from financial technology to insurance technology.
VENTURE CAPITAL
* Spanish real estate platform Clikalia collected €75 million in a series C-1 funding round co-led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Fifth Wall Ventures Management LLC, FinSMEs reported. Luxor Capital Group LP and Guillaume Pousaz also took part in the round, the report said.
* Arlington, Va.-based Shift5 Inc., an operational technology cybersecurity company, gathered $50 million in a series B fundraising round led by Insight Partners.
* Safar Partners LLC led a series A funding round worth $40 million for Quaise Inc., which produces drilling systems used to access deep geothermal energy. Prelude Ventures LLC and Fine Structure Ventures, among other investors, took part in the round.
* Event-led engagement platform Airmeet Inc. raised $35 million in a series B financing round, FinSMEs reported. The round saw participation from Prosus Ventures NV and Sistema Asia Fund Pte. Ltd., among other investors, the report added.
* Dozr Inc., which offers marketplace and e-commerce solutions for the online rental of heavy equipment, secured C$27.5 million in a series B financing round co-led by Builders VC LLC and BDC Capital Inc., with participation from BaseCamp Equity Partners LLC.
* Promethium Inc. raised $26 million in a series A funding round led by Insight Partners. .406 Ventures LLC and Zetta Venture Partners also participated.
* Bain Capital LP led a $20 million series B investment round for event management software company Swoogo LLC.
