Harlan, Iowa-based Shelby County State Bank and Ida Grove, Iowa-based First State Bank have completed their merger, according to a notice from Shelby County State Bank CEO Kevin Campbell.
Campbell said the two banks have become one company. The deal, the financial terms of which were not disclosed, was announced in November 2021.
The transaction adds five locations to Shelby County State Bank, including offices in Ida Grove, Battle Creek, Danbury, Mapleton and Odebolt, according to Campbell's announcement.
Pending completion of the transition, First State Bank customers will continue to be served by their current bank personnel in the same hours.
