Brown & Brown acquiring Orchid Underwriters Agency, CrossCover

Brown & Brown Inc. entered into an agreement to acquire Orchid Underwriters Agency LLC and CrossCover Insurance Services.

The transaction is expected to close before April, subject to certain closing conditions.

Steve Carlsen, Kathy Cody and Ross Bowie will continue to lead Orchid's offices in Florida, while Scott Hanson will lead CrossCover's offices in Texas.

Orchid offers insurance solutions to homeowners in coastal zones and to high net worth customers, while CrossCover provides excess and surplus commercial property solutions for customers across the U.S.
