BlackRock Inc. appointed Ed Fishwick chief risk officer, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing an employee memo.
Fishwick succeeds BlackRock co-founder Ben Golub, who will now serve as a senior advisor.
Fishwick joined the firm in 2003 and has worked as global co-head of the asset manager's risk and quantitative analysis team for more than 15 years. He will serve in the new role by the end of the month, according to the report.
The move was reported earlier by Pensions & Investments, the report said.
