French women's clothing company ba&sh is in exclusive acquisition talks with HLD, according to market sources.
Ba&sh has been put up for sale by owners L Catterton and Vog, with Rothschild advising. The company was marketed at annual EBITDA of €35 million-€45 million, the sources said.
All types of financing are still being considered, including a direct lending financing or a bank one, the sources added.
Some lenders might be put off by the deal being in the retail sector, one source noted.
Tikehau provided a unitranche loan for L Catterton's acquisition of the company in 2015.
HLD did not respond to a request for comment.
Founded in 2003, ba&sh is an affordable premium fashion brand that designs and manufactures a full range of women's apparel. The company's products are sold mainly in premium monobrand retail locations in France, department stores and online, with international expansion in targeted geographies.
