Kent Water Sports Holdings LLC, or Kent Watersports, received loans backing acquisitions of watersports brand BOTE and bike maker Kona Bicycles.
A bank group led by Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s private credit business and Huntington Bancshares Inc. provided “additional financing” for the acquisitions, according to a Jan. 19 company statement.
In a reflection of a broader company focus, Kent Watersports will be renamed Kent Outdoors.
Kent Outdoors is an investment of Seawall Capital. The company’s other brands include Freedom Foil, Aquaglide, Margaritaville, FatSac, Arctic Shield, Connelly and O’Brien.
