Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Co. appointed Louise Kidd country manager in Ireland, replacing Hilary Browne.
Kidd will also remain as the head of third-party lines at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance in Ireland.
Browne became the company's regional executive for the U.K. and Europe.

Axa XL named Thisiani Matsumura-Martins global chief underwriting officer of aerospace, effective April 1.
Tom Callahan also became the global head of underwriting management and chief underwriting officer of aviation.
Matsumura-Martins serves as the interim regional leader in Latin America and country manager for Brazil at Axa XL, while Callahan was global head of underwriting management.
Reinsurance
Arch Re Facultative appointed Santiago Hernandez CEO, effective Jan. 1.
Scott Montgomery and Lisa Pickard became president and chief strategy officer, respectively, while Mike Karam became executive director and head of hybrid solutions.
Jennifer Apgar, who serves as chief underwriting officer and COO, will also be responsible for developing the infrastructure needed for the company's growth.
The appointments coincide with Ken Vivian's retirement as CEO for North America at the end of 2021.
