FTI Consulting appoints restructuring managers in Richmond, Va., office

FTI Consulting Inc. appointed Guy Davis senior managing director and JP Eldred a managing director within the firm's corporate finance and restructuring segment, the company announced.

Davis and Eldred are based in Richmond, Va. They will lead a team of eight professionals in providing advisory services in connection with restructurings, including bankruptcy planning, execution, plan confirmation and post-emergence operations.

The Richmond bankruptcy court has handled several large, recent Chapter 11 cases, including J. Crew, Pier 1, Guitar Center and Alpha Media. The court late last year confirmed a reorganization plan for Intelsat.

Davis has nearly 30 years of accounting, finance and consulting experience in the area of corporate restructuring, commercial litigation, financial investigations and valuation, FTI said, while Eldred brings "more than 25 years of experience working in complicated distressed situations."
