Carlyle to invest in NineDot Energy battery storage projects in New York

Carlyle Group Inc.'s funds will invest in NineDot Energy for the development of over 400 MW of battery storage projects by 2026.

New York-based NineDot Energy designs and deploys community-scale energy generation and battery storage, and has an existing pipeline of battery storage projects in Downstate New York, including Queens, Staten Island, the Bronx and Long Island.

The projects will help New York achieve its goal of attaining 100% clean energy by 2040 and securing 6,000 MW of energy storage by 2030.
