Richmond, Va.-based Atlantic Union Bankshares Corp. is rebranding its wealth management division, changing the name to Atlantic Union Bank Wealth Management from Middleburg Financial.
The Middleburg Financial name had survived two M&A deals.
In 2017, Middleburg Financial and Middleburg Bank, which opened in 1924, became part of Access National Corp. after a merger of equals. In 2019, Access sold to Union Bankshares Corp., and the parent's name became Atlantic Union. However, the company retained the Middleburg Financial name for the wealth management division.
The rebranding, including a change in logo, aims to integrate the company's bank and wealth management services, signifying a full-service approach, according to a company news release.
