Thoma Bravo to acquire Talend; CVC seals partnership with Six Nations Rugby

* Software and technology-focused investor Thoma Bravo LLC plans to acquire all of Talend SA's outstanding ordinary shares and American depositary shares for $66.00 apiece in a cash tender offer, subject to certain conditions.

* CVC Capital Partners Ltd. through its CVC Capital Partners VII LP signed a long-term strategic partnership with Six Nations Rugby, the official organizing body of the Six Nations Championships and Autumn Internationals. Under the terms, CVC will invest up to £365 million for a 1/7th share in Six Nations Rugby.

* French private equity firm Ardian acquired a minority stake in German lifestyle and fashion accessories brand Kapten & Son GmbH through one of its Ardian Growth funds. Kapten plans to expand in Europe and pursue potential acquisitions, the brand's co-founders said.

* Resource Partners Sp zoo and Maczfit Foods Sp zoo Founder and CEO Maciej Lubiak agreed to sell their interests in Polish dietary catering services company to Polish convenience store owner and operator Zabka Polska sp zoo.

* U.K.-based LDC (Managers) Ltd. sold Lucid Group Ltd. to fellow private equity firm Intermediate Capital Group PLC. The middle-market investor initially deployed capital in the healthcare communications group in 2017.

* Middle-market private equity firm Sentinel Capital Partners LLC wrapped up its $700 million sale of U.S. pet specialty chain Pet Supplies Plus LLC to Franchise Group Inc.

VENTURE CAPITAL

* Canada-based venture capital firm ThreeD Capital Inc. bought 3.5 million units of cloud and computing solutions provider AMPD Ventures Inc. at 15 Canadian cents apiece.

* San Francisco-based privacy management platform provider DataGrail Inc. raised $30 million in a series B funding round led by Felicis Ventures, TechCrunch reported. Basis Set Ventures LLC and Operator Collective Management LLC participated in the round.

* Oncology-focused biotechnology company Cybrexa Inc. raised $25 million in a series B funding round. Venture capital firms HighCape Partners Management LP and Elm Street Ventures participated in the round.

* Tausight Inc., a developer of software for reducing healthcare cyber incidents, secured $20 million in a series A funding round co-led by Polaris Partners and Flare Capital Partners, with participation from new investor .406 Ventures LLC.

* Data and analytics businesses are becoming attractive to private equity investors, Mergers & Acquisitions reported.
