An affiliate of Kinross Gold Corp. earned a 70% stake in Rockcliff Metals Corp.'s Snow Lake gold property in Manitoba, which comprises the Laguna, Lucky Jack and Puella Bay claim blocks.
Under the terms of the July 2018 option agreement, Kinross would acquire the stake after spending at least C$5.5 million on exploration over six years. The miner completed the requirement ahead of the deal's third anniversary.
Rockcliff said March 11 that Kinross has completed 48 holes totaling about 16,470 meters since 2018. The 2021 exploration program consists of a 2,500-meter drill campaign in winter, a mapping and sampling program, and 1,500 to 2,000 meters of drilling in the summer.
