BBC, ITV's streaming service BritBox UK achieves 500,000 subscribers goal

BritBox UK, the streaming joint venture of the British Broadcasting Corp. and ITV PLC, reached its goal of 500,000 subscriptions, according to a March 9 news release.

The companies had launched the streaming service at the end of 2019.

BritBox UK, which includes content from Channel 4 and Channel 5, recently announced that it will be available on Amazon.com Inc.'s Prime Video Channels starting in spring.
