McLean, Va.-based Southern National Bancorp of Virginia Inc. is changing its name to Primis Financial Corp. Wholly owned subsidiary Sonabank will also be renamed to Primis Bank.
The firm's ticker symbol will also change from SONA to FRST.
All the above-mentioned changes will be effective March 31.
For fourth quarter 2020, the company reported net income of $9 million, or 37 cents per share, unchanged from the year-ago period. For full year 2020, the company recorded net income of $23.3 million, or 96 cents per share, compared to $33.2 million, or $1.36 per share, in 2019.
