Markel agrees to acquire majority interest in South Carolina-based Metromont

Markel Corp. has agreed to acquire a majority interest in Greenville, S.C.-based Metromont for undisclosed terms.

The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter, subject to customary closing conditions.

Metromont is a precast concrete manufacturer serving general contractors in the construction of data centers, warehouses, multifamily residential structures, parking decks and other commercial and industrial structures.
