Implats concludes search for missing workers at South African platinum ops

Impala Platinum Holdings Ltd., or Implats, concluded search operations for five missing employees at the Shaft 6 complex of its Impala Rustenburg platinum operation in South Africa after a mud rush incident Nov. 28.

Three of the workers were found dead and two are in a serious but stable condition, Implats said Nov. 29.

All operations at Shaft 6 will remain suspended, according to the company.
