EcoGraf to supply battery anode material products to POSCO

EcoGraf Ltd. said Nov. 25 that it intends to supply South Korean steelmaker POSCO's Posco International Corp. with battery anode material products from its new facility in Western Australia and its planned facility in Europe.

Under a nonbinding memorandum of understanding, the parties plan to enter a formal battery anode material off-take deal.

EcoGraf is conducting a global product development program to access higher-value customer markets and maximize the economic and sustainability advantages of its proprietary graphite purification process.

The company's initial focus is the production of low-emission recarburizers for the steel industry, ultra-fine battery conductivity enhancers, and high purity fines for lubrication, thermal efficiency and fire-resistant applications.
