* L Squared Capital Partners agreed to sell GWS Tool Holdings LLC to Sandvik AB (publ), which will operate the cutting-tools maker under Walter, a division within its manufacturing and machining solutions business. BlackArch Partners LLC and Vedder Price PC were advisers to L Squared and GWS.
* Advent International Corp. will purchase Dutch specialty chemicals company Caldic BV and combine it with Grupo Transmerquim SA, a chemical distributor in Latin America and a portfolio company of the private equity firm. The seller is Goldman Sachs Asset Management. The deal is set to close in the first half of 2022.
* StateServ Medical LLC, which offers medical equipment benefit management solutions, was recapitalized by WindRose Health Investors LLC. SVB Leerink and McDermott Will & Emery LLP were financial and legal advisers to WindRose, respectively. TripleTree was StateServ's financial adviser, while Greenberg Traurig LLP was its legal adviser.
* Godspeed Capital Management LP wrapped up its acquisition of engineering and consulting company Ascent Engineering Group Inc., which will join the lower-middle-market investor's Prime ABA LP platform. PSMJ Resources Inc. was Ascent's adviser, while AEC Advisors LLC was Godspeed Capital and Prime ABA's adviser.
* Funds advised by CVC Capital Partners Ltd. and HPS Investment Partners LLC agreed to buy significant equity stakes in global brand development, marketing and entertainment company Authentic Brands Group Inc. from certain existing shareholders at an enterprise value of $12.7 billion. Blackrock Long Term Private Capital, which is managed by BlackRock Private Equity Partners Inc. and BlackRock Inc., will remain as the company's biggest shareholder. The transaction is expected to be completed in December. BofA Securities Inc. was M&A adviser and Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC was financial adviser to Authentic Brands, while Latham & Watkins LLP was its legal adviser.
* Littlejohn & Co. LLC added healthcare staffing platform American Health Staffing Group to its portfolio. Houlihan Lokey provided investment banking services to American Health on the transaction.
* Italian bike manufacturer Denver SRL received an investment from middle-market investor Trilantic Capital Partners LLP's Trilantic Europe VI SCSp fund.
* Warburg Pincus LLC is considering acquiring Vistra Group Management SA from Baring Private Equity Asia in a deal that could value the business services company at approximately $4 billion to $5 billion, Bloomberg News reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter. The firm is also in discussions to buy a minority interest in China Everbright Bank Co. Ltd.'s wealth management unit for about $300 million to $400 million, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg in a separate report.
* Private equity firms were among the potential buyers of Canadian software company Enghouse Systems Ltd., which is weighing strategic options including a sale, Bloomberg reported, citing
