WEC Energy CEO to retire; successor named

WEC Energy Group Inc. announced Oct. 25 that President and CEO Kevin Fletcher will retire in June 2022.

COO Scott Lauber will become president and CEO of the company, effective Feb. 1, 2022. Fletcher will continue to serve as a senior adviser until retirement to help with the transition.

In addition, the company said Gale Klappa will continue to serve as executive chairman until May 2024.
