Vance Street adds microplate sealing film company Excel Scientific to portfolio

Middle-market private equity firm Vance Street Capital LLC purchased Victorville, Calif.-headquartered microplate sealing film and foil manufacturer Excel Scientific Inc.

The deal marks the second platform investment for the Vance Street Capital III LP fund. Excel Founder Bambi Lyn Cahilly will continue to own a stake in the company.

BMO Sponsor Finance provided debt financing for the transaction. Vedder Price was legal adviser to Vance Street, while RA Capital Advisors and Squire Patton Boggs were financial and legal advisers to Excel, respectively.
