Sunworks Inc. on Jan. 11 named Gaylon Morris CEO and director, effective immediately.
Morris most recently served as business strategist at electric contractor Rosendin Electric Inc., according to a news release.
Sunworks Chairman Chuck Cargile stepped down as CEO in August 2020, and former Sungrow USA CEO Steven Chan took over on an interim basis. The company terminated a proposed acquisition by The Peck Company Holdings Inc. in November of the same year, after failing to secure shareholder approval.
"Under Gaylon's leadership, we are confident that Sunworks' current backlog will be executed efficiently while he also focuses on streamlining operations and identifying strategic growth opportunities to drive higher profits, ultimately enhancing shareholder value," said Cargile, who serves as Sunworks' board chairman.
