Oschadbank ends 2020 with highest number of branch closures – Ekonomichna Pravda

JSC State Savings Bank of Ukraine, or Oschadbank, closed 490 branches in 2020, the highest number among all banks operating in the country, Ekonomichna Pravda reported Jan. 19, citing the Ukrainian central bank's data.

Following the closures, Oschadbank still has 1,837 branches operating in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, JSC CB Privatbank reduced its branch network by 211 to 1,717 outlets. Raiffeisen Bank International AG unit JSC Raiffeisen Bank Aval and JSC Alfa-Bank closed 100 branches and 39 branches, respectively, lowering their total number of outlets to 396 and 218.

In total, Ukrainian banks shut down approximately 870 branches in 2020, with more than 7,130 branches remaining in operation, the news report noted.
