Mad Engine acquired by Platinum Equity as new small cap platform

Mad Engine Inc. has been acquired by Platinum Equity via the private equity firm’s small cap team.

Wells Fargo Capital Finance "is supporting the transaction and will remain the company's lending partner," according to a statement from the companies on Jan. 4. No further details were available.

The company's current ownership group has owned the business since 2011.

Mad Engine is a global apparel and accessories company that creates, designs, produces and distributes licensed, private label and branded products.
