Mackenzie Investments appoints chief investment officer of equities

Mackenzie Investments appointed Lesley Marks chief investment officer of equities, effective Jan. 25.

Marks' appointment is part of a succession plan for Tony Elavia, chief investment officer and executive vice president, who announced his plan to retire Dec. 31, 2020. Marks will partner with Steve Locke, who was appointed chief investment officer of fixed income and multiasset strategies in November 2020.

Marks most recently was chief investment officer and head of investment management at BMO Private Wealth (Canada).
