K2 Insurance sells Aegis Surety, buys XPro from Skyward Specialty

The Westaim Corp. subsidiary Skyward Specialty Insurance Group Inc. has acquired Aegis Surety from K2 Insurance Services LLC.

Trevor Hash, senior vice president of Aegis Surety, along with the entire team will join Skyward Specialty. Hash will become the head of contract surety.

Harrisburg, Pa.-based Aegis Surety offers surety bonds to contractors, in addition to commercial surety, specializing in underwriting bid, performance, payment, supply and maintenance bonds.

At the same time, K2 Insurance acquired Skyward Specialty's XPro business, which offers solutions for the pest control industry.
