Manulife Hong Kong appointed Ivan Chan chief agency officer, effective Jan. 1, and Tracy Leung chief partnership distribution officer, effective Jan. 15.
Chan was most recently Manulife Hong Kong's chief partnership distribution officer. Leung was managing director and head of bancassurance at Standard Chartered Bank.

Ivar Martinsen left his prior position at If P&C to become a senior adviser at the company, effective Jan 20.
In the new role, Martinsen will provide support to the CEOs of If P&C and Sampo in matters related to property and casualty business.
Klas Svensson succeeds Martinsen as head of BA commercial at the Sampo Oyj subsidiary. He was previously head of digital sales and customer experience in BA Private.
Reinsurance
Hamilton Insurance Group named Clay Rhoades president of Hamilton Managing General Agency Americas LLC.
Rhoades will focus on the expansion of Hamilton's U.S. specialty insurance businesses written across its group platforms. He joins Hamilton from Kinsale Insurance Co., where he was senior vice president of commercial property and inland marine.

Everest Insurance named Marcus Cooper head of distribution for Everest Insurance North America, based in the company's Chicago office.
Michael Finnegan was appointed head of excess and surplus casualty, based in the Stamford office. Additionally, Charlie Higham was named head of management and professional lines, based in the New York City office.
Cooper joins Everest from Liberty Mutual Holding Co. Inc., where he was division president for the Midwest region. Finnegan was president of the specialty casualty division at Ironshore Inc. Higham most recently was vice president and head of financial institutions for Everest Insurance.
