Golden Gate mulls sale of Mavis Tire – Bloomberg

Golden Gate Capital is working with an adviser to review strategic options, including a sale, for Mavis Tire Express Services Corp., Bloomberg News reported Jan. 12, citing people familiar with the matter.

The car service chain could be valued at as much as $6 billion in a sale, the sources said, adding that the private equity firm has not made a final decision and its plans could change.

A Golden Gate representative declined Bloomberg's request for comment, while a spokesperson for Mavis did not respond immediately.
