China Unicom taps ex-China Telecom executive as president – Mobile World Live

China United Network Communications Ltd. appointed former China Telecom Corp. Ltd. deputy General Manager Chen Zhongyue as president, ending a 10-month search to fill the vacancy, Mobile World Live reported Jan. 19.

Chen has also been appointed as deputy party secretary and director.

The newly appointed China Unicom executive is replacing Li Guohua, who stepped down in March 2020 after reaching the mandatory retirement age.
