ByteDance launches mobile payment service

Beijing Byte Dance Telecommunications Co. Ltd., which operates TikTok, has launched a payment service for its Chinese short video platform Douyin, Reuters reported Jan. 19, citing a statement from Douyin.

The payment service, Douyin Pay, aims to supplement existing major payment options and enhance the user experience on Douyin.

The new payment service joins Alipay and WeChat Pay as payment options for Douyin users.
