British Telecom said Jan. 27 that it will hire more than 400 apprentices and graduates in 2021.
The recruitments will be for engineering, customer service, applied research, and cybersecurity, among other fields. The U.K. telecom operator also said the company plans to recruit talent for its planned 5G buildouts across the country.
The new positions will be across locations including Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Dundee, Edinburgh, Ipswich, London and Manchester.
The move comes amid its unit Openreach Ltd.'s plans to create more than 2,500 full-time jobs in its service and network build departments and about 2,800 positions in its supply chain in the U.K.
