Summary
At the start of 2025, S&P Global’s leaders provided commentaries on powering the private markets, including broadening the scope of data we cover such as the expansion of company coverage to APAC private entities. The next phase of private markets is expected to be defined by their ongoing integration with public markets. Market participants will be watching how private markets respond to the evolving macroeconomic and credit conditions shaping public markets in deploying dry powder—especially after private equity (PE) firms accumulated a record $2.62 trillion of total uncommitted capital in the first half of this year, according to data from S&P Global Market Intelligence and Preqin.
Join us in this webinar to explore the expansion of private company data in the Asia-Pacific region, including the recently published Australian coverage, on S&P Capital IQ Pro.
We will highlight the use of these tools to gain insights:
- Corporate Profiles: summarize firmographics and financials for individual private companies to assess historical performance.
- Screener: compile a table of peers and competitors across the region to benchmark against each other with the use of financial data.
- Topic Tags: identify emerging industries within a region with the combination of data from company population and aggregated funding data.
