Spencer Maclean has worked in capital markets for over 25 years. His career started at Credit Suisse as a New Issues Trader before continuing in Bond Syndicate at Deutsche Bank.
During his 12 years at Standard Chartered Bank, he led the Debt Capital Markets team for the West, before becoming the Global Head of Bond Syndicate.
Since leaving Standard Chartered three years ago, he co-founded BondAuction, an auction platform for the Debt Capital Markets.

Stephen is a capital markets veteran with over 20 years of experience in international financial markets working in both banking and investment institutions. Having joined FIL in 2018 as part of the High Yield investment and trading team, he transitioned to build out our Debt Capital Markets function in 2022 and has been driving change in how we interact with issuers and issuance across capital markets. Stephen Co-chairs the FIL capital markets tokenisation working group which is delivering structural change to how the institution uses DLT and other innovative technologies across its traditional business model. He also sits on ICMA and IMMFA working groups.
