Director, U.S. Head of Corporate Actions
Chris Thiebaut, Director, heads U.S. Corporate Actions within BlackRock’s Global Investment Operations (GIO). His team’s responsibilities include managing all Corporate Action events impacting BlackRock’s assets. In addition, the team works closely with the Investment teams, custodians, and counterparties to facilitate the event announcements, elections, and processing on BlackRock’s Aladdin investment management processing system.
Chris Thiebaut, Director, heads U.S. Corporate Actions within BlackRock’s Global Investment Operations (GIO). His team’s responsibilities include managing all Corporate Action events impacting BlackRock’s assets. In addition, the team works closely with the Investment teams, custodians, and counterparties to facilitate the event announcements, elections, and processing on BlackRock’s Aladdin investment management processing system.
Chris also leads BlackRock’s Corporate Action global technology and strategic initiatives. Through a partnership with the Aladdin Product Group (APG), Chris leads the global Corporate Action effort to define requirements, test user acceptance, and implement industry-leading changes to the Aladdin Corporate Action Manager (CAM). This software facilitates the systematic sourcing, cleansing, and processing of market events for BlackRock and the many external clients utilizing the Aladdin platform.
Chris serves as the co-chair of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association’s (SIFMA) Corporate Action Forum.
Before joining BlackRock, Chris managed the U.S. Brokerage Operations Corporate Actions team at the Royal Bank of Canada.
Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Saint Cloud State University. He is a former Minnesota Army National Guard member and a combat veteran, having served 11 months in Baghdad, Iraq, supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Director, Securities Services
Kamal is responsible for the implementation and strategy for our securities services and other associated digital platforms including Corporate Actions, Proxy Voting, Integrated Messaging Bridge, IMConnecting and IMAnalytics. He specializes in business transformation, process automation, process standardization, data integration, data migration, and client support and also is responsible for defining and managing the product strategy & roadmap for the Securities Processing solution. Kamal has a proven track record of successfully implementing securities services solutions across mid to large scale custodians.

Kamal has a proven track record of successfully implementing securities services solutions across mid to large scale custodians. He has over 17 years of experience in product management, business process re-engineering, business analysis, solution design and delivery in the post-trade industry where he has worked with global clients across capital market segments, providing strategic consulting on operating models and technology landscape transformation. He joined IHS Markit (Now a part of S&P Global) in 2010 and holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree and Master of Business Administration from India.

Bidhu is responsible for management and strategy of corporate actions solutions at S&P Global Market Intelligence specializing in complex product transformations, process automation and standardization. He closely works with customers and market infrastructure providers to define the product roadmaps and oversees delivery and adoption by wide spectrum of client segments including both buy side and sell side firms.
Bidhu is responsible for management and strategy of corporate actions solutions at S&P Global Market Intelligence specializing in complex product transformations, process automation and standardization. He closely works with customers and market infrastructure providers to define the product roadmaps and oversees delivery and adoption by wide spectrum of client segments including both buy side and sell side firms. Bidhu has more than 16 years of product management, business process re-engineering, business analysis, solution design & delivery experience in the capital markets domain, specifically in asset servicing space where he has worked with clients in APAC, Europe and US across capital market segments. He joined S&P Global in 2016 and holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, India.
