Chris Thiebaut, Director, heads U.S. Corporate Actions within BlackRock’s Global Investment Operations (GIO). His team’s responsibilities include managing all Corporate Action events impacting BlackRock’s assets. In addition, the team works closely with the Investment teams, custodians, and counterparties to facilitate the event announcements, elections, and processing on BlackRock’s Aladdin investment management processing system.
Full BioChris Thiebaut, Director, heads U.S. Corporate Actions within BlackRock’s Global Investment Operations (GIO). His team’s responsibilities include managing all Corporate Action events impacting BlackRock’s assets. In addition, the team works closely with the Investment teams, custodians, and counterparties to facilitate the event announcements, elections, and processing on BlackRock’s Aladdin investment management processing system.
Chris also leads BlackRock’s Corporate Action global technology and strategic initiatives. Through a partnership with the Aladdin Product Group (APG), Chris leads the global Corporate Action effort to define requirements, test user acceptance, and implement industry-leading changes to the Aladdin Corporate Action Manager (CAM). This software facilitates the systematic sourcing, cleansing, and processing of market events for BlackRock and the many external clients utilizing the Aladdin platform.
Chris serves as the co-chair of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association’s (SIFMA) Corporate Action Forum.
Before joining BlackRock, Chris managed the U.S. Brokerage Operations Corporate Actions team at the Royal Bank of Canada.
Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Saint Cloud State University. He is a former Minnesota Army National Guard member and a combat veteran, having served 11 months in Baghdad, Iraq, supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
