Nick brings close to 20 years of E&P and energy experience. His current mandate is to develop and lead the delivery of our latest regional and global upstream research to clients across the Asia Pacific region. Nick is an experienced leader in delivering our latest insights on exploration/supply outlook, company strategy/performance, valuations/M&A, costs/supply chain, regulatory/fiscal analysis, government policy, and E&P technology trends.
Nick previously led regional advisory practice for 6 years, working with a range of clients (NOCs, IOCs, Independents, Service Companies, Financial Services, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Ministry, and Regulators).

He is responsible for equity analysis, valuations, and strategy assessment of large international E&Ps. Hassan also develops financial models to measure the geopolitical risk of individual E&P companies, with recommendations on appropriate valuation methodologies and portfolio optimization. Prior to joining IHS Markit(now part of S&P Global) in 2011, he spent five years in the corporate strategy and mergers and acquisitions group at Reliant Energy, helping guide the company's strategy and executing asset and company acquisitions. Previous to that, he worked in investment banking and structured finance with Commercial International Bank and JPMorgan.
Hassan holds a BS from the American University in Cairo, Egypt, and an MBA from Rice University.

Christopher is responsible for overseeing global Herold transaction analysis, including the upstream M&A and Significant Energy Assets on the Market (SEAM) products. This insight research includes M&A Alerts, Monthly Perspectives, Quarterly Transaction Reviews, Year-End Transaction Reviews, and SEAM Alerts and Perspectives, as well as a global energy industry M&A database with more than 40,000 transactions. He is the primary author of the annual Herold Global Upstream M&A Review, regularly presenting its findings to clients. In 1995, Christopher joined Herold, now part of S&P Global, and spent five years as a senior analyst following North American E&P companies.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts and an MBA from the University of Connecticut, U.S.

Dr. Asmar is an expert in oil and gas fundamentals, cpsts and a dynamic simulation expert with extensive computer, modeling, and simulation skills. He is part of the Upstream Capital and Operating Costs Service team working on consulting assignments, multi-client studies and core research. He leads the Upstream Innovaion Index (UII) service. In prior roles, he led international cost estimating and performance improvement consulting activities. Dr. Asmar has worked with major engineering companies concerned with large LNG regasification and liquefaction terminals, natural gas compression stations, and offshore oil and gas production platforms. Formerly, he was as a senior process engineer and dynamic simulation specialist with CB&I, Mott MacDonald, and IMEG, and a lead consultant with Trident Consultants Ltd, London. Dr. Asmar has published more than 40 articles in international journals, conference proceedings, and newspapers. He has authored two books, "Fossil Fuels in the Arab World: Facts and Fiction" and "Fossil Fuels in the Arab World: Seasons Reversed."
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan, plus a Master of Science in Project and Process Engineering and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham, UK, as well as a doctorate from Free University Berlin, Germany in Geoscience. He is a Chartered Engineer, a member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers and a senior member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
