Summary
Global agriculture markets are entering a period of profound transition driven by climate volatility, shifting consumer behavior, evolving carbon markets, geopolitical fragmentation, and rapidly changing regulatory frameworks. For investors, lenders, agribusinesses, and supply chain participants, understanding which forces will create tailwinds or become headwinds is increasingly critical for managing revenue risk and identifying growth opportunities.
In this webinar, Agriculture experts from S&P Global Energy will explore how El Niño, GLP-1 adoption, carbon markets, geopolitics, and regulation could reshape trade flows, company performance, capital allocation, and valuation across the agricultural value chain
Key questions we'll explore include:
- Will the current El Niño cycle amplify production, price, and revenue volatility across major crop-producing regions?
- How could GLP-1 adoption reshape demand patterns for food, beverages, animal protein, and agricultural commodities?
- How will geopolitical tensions, trade realignments, and supply chain fragmentation influence market access and competitive positioning?
- Are carbon markets emerging as a meaningful source of enterprise value creation, or do structural risks remain a barrier to scale?
- Which sectors, regions, and companies appear best positioned to attract capital, and which face increasing pressure on margins and valuations
