Suvankar Mazumder

Suvankar Mazumder was appointed the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of S&P Global Ratings in February 2022. He is responsible for leading the Ratings Technology team in developing essential product solutions, working directly with the Ratings Operating Committee to deliver on strategic initiatives – Project Simplify, Content & Publishing and Ratings360® – and other business priorities. He is also a member of the Ratings Executive Committee.

Suvankar Mazumder joined S&P Global in July 2019, as Chief Technology Officer, S&P Global Market Intelligence. As a member of the Market Intelligence Operating Committee and Operational Services Leadership, Suvankar ensured Market Intelligence’s alignment to S&P Global’s overall technology strategy and enabling the division to deliver on its priorities to Power the Markets of the Future.

Suvankar is a veteran technologist with over 20 years of experience driving business results by leading the development of innovative software for many reputable organizations, including Sun Microsystems, Goldman Sachs, UBS and Morgan Stanley. Most recently, Suvankar held the role of Head of Engineering, Transaction Management Systems at Bloomberg, where he drove the technical architecture and delivery of Bloomberg’s multi-asset class trading services platform. Highlights of his previous accomplishments include leading the development of an integrated platform for determination of risk and PnL impact of all trading activities and transactions at Morgan Stanley; delivery of a client analytics platform at UBS; and the delivery of Goldman 360 Portal at Goldman Sachs.

Suvankar holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences from Imperial College of London.
