Hernan Mazzella

Hernan Mazzella serves as the Chief Commercial Officer at S&P Global Energy. In this role, he leads a dynamic team focused on driving crucial business initiatives. His responsibilities encompass sales, relationship management, commercial strategy, and cultivating strategic partnerships. 

Since joining Energy (formerly known as Platts) in 2007, Hernan has played pivotal roles across the United States and EMEA regions, significantly contributing to the company's growth trajectory. 

Prior to his tenure at Platts, Hernan spent seven years as a lead engineer at General Electric Global Research, where he was involved in advancing technologies across aerospace, defense, healthcare, and energy sectors. 

He holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.
