Kaori Tachibana

Associate Director, Climate and Sustainability

Kaori Tachibana is an associate director within the Energy and Climate Scenarios team at S&P Global and is based in Japan.

Kaori leads the research in Energy and Climate Scenarios within APAC. Her expertise include in-depth knowledge of energy policies, gas, power and renewable infrastructure development and future outlooks within APAC markets. Her responsibilities include global sustainability research, contribution to long-term forecasts, and analyses of renewable and transition technology trends. Prior to joining S&P Global, she advised Japanese utilities, chemical, and exploration companies on their future strategy in a technical consultancy. Her breadth of expertise extends from upstream, coal, and metals commodity to the downstream power, climate change and energy transition sector. Earlier in her career, she was involved in environmental impact assessments, overseeing soil and groundwater investigations, and designing groundwater remediation models in Japan.

Fluent in Japanese and English, Ms. Tachibana holds a Master of Business Administration from McGill University, Canada.
