Hemant Sharma

Hemant Sharma serves as a director for Chemical Consulting at IS&P Global Commodity Insights, based in the Dubai office.

Hemant brings more than a decade years of experience in the area of chemical consulting, supply chain (S&OP) implementation and execution, demand and supply planning, global innovations and network planning (both core and disruptive), project management, manufacturing economics and plant commissioning. Prior to joining the company in 2014, He worked for multinational companies, including BASF, Unilever, Colgate Palmolive and Rohm & Haas (now part of Dow Chemical) and SBAIC. During his time at Kline & Company Inc., he worked on strategy and market analysis, technology assessment and manufacturing economic analysis. He previously worked as Senior Manager at Unilever where, as a part of the corporate planning team, he led the demand planning and S&OP execution for India's personal care business, managed senior stakeholders' expectations for six personal care categories, with detailed evaluation of their business drivers, competitive landscape, external factors, long- and medium-term forecasting for its business continuity planning and gap management.

Hemant graduated from Indian Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from SP Jain Institute of Management, both located in Mumbai, India. ​​
