Xuan Shao is an ESG Advisory Associate within the Strategic Governance and ESG Integration Advisory team at S&P Global Market Intelligence

Xuan is responsible for net zero product development, ESG integration, and proxy solicitation. Xuan has participated in numerous ESG and proxy voting projects across various sectors, including but not limited to technology, energy, automotive, financial services, and the internet. Her primary coverage is on the APAC markets including mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia, while she also has experience with a few European projects.

Prior to her current role, Xuan was a research analyst in the Chemicals team under S&P Global Commodity Insights, where she covered data, research and products on multiple chemical value chain, energy transition and sustainable-related products for both China and international markets.

Before joining S&P Global, Xuan was a research assistant at the Institute of International Finance in Washington, D.C., and focused on the design and implementation of effective climate and sustainability-related policy and regulatory frameworks. Xuan holds a Master's degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Washington D.C., and a Bachelor's degree from Peking University in Beijing, China.
