Anastasia Polymeni is a Senior Technical Research Analyst and Exploration Scout for Europe and conducts research covering upstream oil and gas activity throughout the Continental and NW Europe regions. Prior to joining S&P Global in 2021, she was a Geoscience Consultant for exploration projects in Southern England and Guest Lecturer for the MSc course in Petroleum Exploration and Exploitation at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She is a geoscientist with long experience in seismic interpretation and tectonostratigraphic analysis, who worked on post-doctoral research and exploration projects situated in Central and Eastern Mediterranean, Southern North Sea and Gulf of Mexico.

Anastasia holds a PhD in Applied Geoscience from Heriot-Watt University. Her research was awarded with competitive prizes and awards, two of which are the prestigious 2018 Ziad Beydoun and Ozan Sungurlu Memorial Awards from the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.
